Client Reviews

If you are looking for a competent, ethical, caring, insightful and innovative therapist; look no further. Candace Purifoy brings the right balance of joy, sensitivity and seriousness to the therapeutic encounter. Her manner of care fosters a sufficiently safe environment - allowing for one to be in process without judgement, yet challenging enough that an invitation to become one's better self is perpetually extended. Often, while working with Candace, I am wowed by her depth of compassion and wealth of insight. To say that making a decision to enter a therapeutic relationship with Candace will translate to well invested time and finances is an understatement. The more accurate statement would be, "entering a therapeutic relationship with Mrs. Candace Purifoy will be a transformational experience - life changing". You will never be the same, and your future self will thank your present self for the gift of transformation that comes from your therapeutic journey.

Two years ago, I felt broken and decided to go on a journey of truely addressing my mental health issues while building spiritual health. I truly feel that the best decision I made during my journey was choosing to work with Candace Purifoy. Candace gave me the therapeutic tools and the spiritual confidence to trust myself again. I have learned how to positively navigate being a Young Black Christian Woman with mental health by working with Candace. Her style of therapy creates a space where breaking down barriers doesn't feel lonely and vulnerability feels welcomed and acceptable. Anyone who is struggling and has the desire to feel knowledgeable about their health and empowered in being themselves should see Candace.

Hi Candace! I know I spent a short time frame with you during our sessions but all that we talked about has significantly improved my relationship with God. I've been trying to dive deeper into the Holy Spirit and before I allow myself to think I can't hear or feel anything, I remember when you said that the Holy Spirit wants to be my best friend. I say all this to say that when we're doing our jobs or walking in our purpose, we wonder if we're actually making an impact. But you have made a profound impact on me as a person, a woman, and spiritually. Thank you for being you!
